Toshiba R600-MacBook Air Killer

Toshiba plans to publish its own super-thin notebook that could eventually rival Apple MacBook Air. This new model claims to be the thinnest in the world and light machine completely up to date after IBM lauch Lenovo X300 which also claim previously has been beat the MacBook Air.

The Toshiba R600 weighs 1.1 kg (2.4lb) and measures 283 x 215.8 x 19.5-25.5mm. The R600 is a bit like his older brother, the R500 laptop, which weighs exactly the same and has the same dimensions.

The new model is available in two versions: a 1.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo SU9400 model with 1 GB of 800MHz DDR 2 memory and a 128GB solid state disk, cheaper or 1.2GHz Core 2 Duo with 2 version SU9300 Go to 800 MHz DDR 2 memory and a SATA hard disk of 160 GB

The Toshiba R600 has the same bendy dangerously 12.1in, 1280 x 800 screen on the R500. However, Toshiba exchanged the R500 of the Intel 945GM chipset and GMA 3000 integrated graphics for a G45 chipset with GMA X4500 graphics core.

However, the R600 supports 802.11n Wi-Fi and Toshiba found the same room to slot in a 0.3-megapixel webcam and microphone in the lid of the R600. Both versions of the R600 support Bluetooth version 2.1.

On the R600, you will also find a fingerprint reader, four USB ports, a Gigabit Ethernet port and an SD memory card slot.
